About Us
ABOUT US!
Our History & Values
Founded in community response to the senseless and devastating killing of Allistair Chisolm, upstanding son of the organization’s president and a completely innocent bystander to the youth violence that would suddenly engulf him, some of our volunteers currently provide comforting emotional support and supportive counseling to grieving families affected by youth violence in Toronto, Mississauga and Brampton. We’re also working towards implementing:
- A program of diversion of youth who have committed minor offenses from the criminal justice program through supervised individualized corrective plans, youth counseling, mentorship, and family support.
- A program of mental health counseling and individualized advocacy for affected community members.
- Provision of material supports, particularly food and other basic necessities, for low-income individuals and families in the community.
OUR MISSION
Empowering Tomorrow’s Leaders Today
We are dedicated to equipping youth, particularly those from underserved and at-risk communities, with the support, resources, and guidance they need to thrive.
Our Mission
We are committed to bridging the gap for underserved youth by providing the tools, resources, and support necessary for personal and academic growth.
Our Vision
A world where every young person, regardless of their background or circumstances, has access to the resources and opportunities needed to reach their full potential and build a fulfilling future.
Our Approach
Building Bridges, Creating Futures. We provide comprehensive support through mentorship programs, educational workshops, and access to essential resources that nurture every young person we serve.
Our Programs
Our Approved Charitable Programs
- Helping address the problems of crime and violence among Black youth in particular by developing and providing counseling and support programs that prevent crime and violence among at-risk youth, or which enable youth already in conflict with the law to undertake measures to achieve their correction and rehabilitation, including mentoring and other programs that divert such young offenders from the criminal justice system, or which help ex-convicts achieve successful reintegration into society.
- Delivering mental health support services to children and youth through counseling on peer pressure, behavioral problems, family breakdown, and child abuse, coupled with conflict resolution intervention in situations of family or peer group conflict and professional psychotherapy to individual children and youth dealing with mental health issues.
